Bound volume of notes taken by Ernst von Leutsch at lectures of Georg Ludolf Dissen, at the University of Göttingen, in the summer semester 1828. The main portion of the volume (p. 1-173) records Dissen's lectures entitled Publii Terentii Afri Adelphi, concerning Terence's play Adelphi (The brothers); at the back of the volume are Leutsch's notes from Dissen's lectures on Horace's odes (Oden des Horatius; p. 175-206), given in the same semester. The lectures on Terence comprise a general introduction about Terence's life, the theater of the times, the performance of the comedies, and the Latin language of the play, followed by an annotated glossary (Erklärende Anmerkungen). The lectures on Horace appear to focus on the first four odes of Book 1.
